This community is part of the third largest city of Colombia. It is South-Central from the city and geographically has 3.6% of the total area of the municipio. The community has about 27,000 households distributed within 18 neighborhoods. Most of the households are medium class according to the DANE statistics from 2005. Total population is about 100,000 people, and 46% are male.
The main economic activity is comerce. Highways and streets are all paved and all households have all public services such as water, plumbing and electricity. At the same time, its educational infrastructure guarantees access to all school and health institutions for all people. According to the DANE, in 2005, about 9.5% of the households have international migration.
