LAMP - UY4

We are pleased to annouce the release of a new database of Uruguay: LAMP-UY4. These databases contain information on migrants living in the city of Montevideo who come from Cuba, Dominican Republic, Peru, and Venezuela. The interviews took place the second part of 2018 and early 2019 in Montevideo.

Fieldwork, data entry, and consistency was done through an association between LAMP and Programa de Población de la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales por la Universidad de la República (UDELAR). Fieldwork was financed by Comisión Sectorial de Investigación Científica de la UDELAR, UNICEF Uruguay and Banco Inter-Americano de Desarrollo.

These surveys differ from the rest of LAMP as these interviews were done to migrants who were already abroad and the methodlogy of how migrants were selected was guided by a sample guided by the informant and asisted by researchers.
